The Ultimate Erotic Art ...
Please take a look
at what I happen to think are some of the most stunning pictures
around today.
After perusing the
web for many years I have decided to put together a personal
collection of erotic art for mine and everybody else's pleasure. I
have found these pictures in the most unusual of searches but they
brightened my day and I hope they do yours.
I am sure there is
something for every taste in this collection, even the more devious
of minds may find something appealing.
Some believe defining eroticism may
be difficult since perceptions of what is erotic fluctuate. For
example, a voluptuous nude painting by Peter Paul Rubens could
have been considered erotic or pornographic when it was created
for a private patron in the 17th century. Similarly in the United
Kingdom and United States, D. H. Lawrence's sexually explicit
novel Lady Chatterley's Lover was considered obscene and unfit for
publication and circulation in many nations thirty years after it
was completed in 1928, but may now be part of standard literary
school texts in some areas. In a different context, a sculpture of
a phallus in Africa may be considered a traditional symbol of
potency though not overtly erotic.
Dreams can often be
brought to life through art and what you find here are visions for
our dreams. Inspiration given to us to fulfill our fantasies
and give us the energy and imagination to go wild.
The start
I first came across
a picture by a artist called Michael Vahle. A beautiful
picture of a young girl leaning forward with her hair covering her
face very modestly. Just a hint of a nipple peeking out of the top
of her corset was all to show it was in any way erotic. But it was
powerful.
This picture caught
my imagination and stirred something deeper in me, an appreciation
for the little things in art.
The smoothness of
the shoulder, the shadow between the breasts, even the wrinkle
from a laughter line around the eyes that showed depth and feeling
in a picture.
This was the start
of a collection that has grown in strength over that years.
Collecting
I have happened
across most of this collection through general surfing of the net
but also through others sending me their "finds". I have
now taught quite a few others to appreciate this for of art where
before they would just skip right past it.
The subjects
Most of the art I
select is in the female form but I have grown to like some artists
work with the male shape. I have had a hard time finding the
quality of male art that I personally like. I will soon be
adding a section so that others can upload their own male art and
we can all view it.
Please come in and
enjoy. Sign up and upload your own for others to admire or hate.
If it provokes a feeling, any feeling, then you have done a good
job.
